Kakuro for Advanced Players is the second book in the Kakuro series, following Kakuro for Beginners. As the name suggests, the book is not aimed at beginners, but at players who already have some experience. There are a total of 200 Kakuro number puzzles in 10×10 format (i.e., ten rows and ten columns).

The book Kakuro for Advanced Players can be purchased for $9.99 (£7.99 / EUR 9.99 plus VAT) on Amazon*. The rules of Kakuro are not explained again here, as I assume that you already know them if you are buying this book. If this is not the case, you can take a look at the book for beginners mentioned above. All solutions are also included here.
Details about Kakuro for Advanced Players
With this book, you will receive:
- 200 Kakuro number puzzles
- All puzzles in 10×10 format (i.e., ten rows and ten columns)
- The book is aimed at advanced or already somewhat experienced players
- All solutions can be found at the back of the book
- Dimensions: 15.24 x 1.45 x 22.86 cm
- One puzzle per page
In the book Kakuro for Beginners, we worked our way up from puzzles in 5×5 format to the ‘standard format’ of 10×10. The puzzles in Kakuro for Advanced Players start at roughly the same level as the book for beginners ended. After that, the difficulty level tends to increase slightly. It should be noted, however, that the difficulty levels vary noticeably even within a single book. This means that you may find some of the puzzles easy, while others prove impossible to solve.
The individual grids are printed quite large, as there is only one Kakuro puzzle on each page. This makes the book suitable for older players or simply for people who don’t necessarily want to use a magnifying glass.
Other puzzle books
In addition to Kakuro for Advanced Players, there is also Kakuro for Beginners, linked above, as well as a book on Kakuro strategies. This book presents various solution strategies for beginners and advanced players using numerous examples. If you have problems with the puzzles in this book for advanced players, the book on solution strategies could be a good supplement. For the future, I am planning a book with larger Kakuro grids, i.e., Kakuro with more than ten rows and columns.
I have also created several puzzle books about Sudoku, such as Sudoku for Advanced Players.
